Colorado Weather

When most people think of Colorado weather, the first thing that they think of is the Rockies. It is no wonder that people will think of the mountains that cover a large part of the state, because anyone who has flown over Colorado gets a great view of them. Colorado weather however has much more than the high altitudes that the Rockies offer. Denver and Aspen are cities which get a lot of snow due to their altitude, but the weather in the state can be one of extremes in some places while other places present more uniform temperatures.

Some places get very little precipitation while others can wake you up with ferocious thunder. The main thing to do is to not think of Colorado as a one weather location, but rather as a state with complex weather patterns and a state that can throw a lot of weather surprises your way.
